After studying Technical Chemistry at the University of Oldenburg and a PhD position at the UFZ - Environmental Research Institute Leipzig-Halle, Michael received his Dr. degree from the University of Leipzig, Department of Analytical Chemistry.
As Post-Doc Michael was project manager for national and international water projects at the University of Karlsruhe, Chair of Water Chemistry.
After several years as lab manager in a private owned analytical laboratory for water analysis and manufacturer of a specialized LC-OCD-chromatographic system, he moved to the Department of Applied Electrochemistry at the Fraunhofer ICT in 2012 to built-up the gas analysis for the dedicated Battery test facility.
The main areas of work are the development and application of analytical techniques and sensors for battery gas and water analysis.
