LFP on the rise – what to do with spent batteries and production scrap?
Description

With the uptake of E-Mobility and stationary energy storage, LFP is expected to grow its market share to 40% or more. Due to its low material value, it is a compelling choice for cost sensitive applications. Recycling becomes challenging, though, as the intrinsic material value cannot cover the costs of hydro- or pyrometallurgic recycling. Direct recycling offers an alternative way to treat spent batteries and production scrap and feed the materials back into the value stream.
