Li-Ion Thermal Runaway Calorimetry for Engineering
Description

The severity of lithium-ion battery thermal runaway reactions (TR) is increasing with growing cell energy and power densities. In order to design optimal battery systems, an accurate understanding of the TR reaction is required. Cell TR calorimetry and gas volume measurement techniques are becoming ever more important, allowing for a quantitative description of the phenomena and therefore better designs.
