Description
Since 2021, more than 40 battery storage incidents have been officially reported (EPRI), including several events in Germany and Europe.
Evaluation and testing of batteries according to high-level safety standards is the key to reducing such incidents to a minimum.
UL leads the development of several battery safety standards and is working closely with the authorities to address future hazards.
This presentation provides an overview of the current standards and regulations in North America.
